Crowns
Are used to cover a tooth that is badly broken down due to being decayed, damaged, or malformed. Shaped like a tooth, a dental crown is sometimes referred to as a cap, as it covers the tooth being treated. It can be made from a variety of materials such as gold or porcelain.
Once the tooth is prepared an impression (Mould) is taken which is sent to the laboratory. The dental crown is secured in place with dental cement. Because the crown functions as a natural tooth would, it is able to restore the health of the tooth.
