She can diagnose the cause of tooth pain, and carry out root canal treatment, repeat root canal treatment or endodontic surgery where required.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"uk-margin\">\n<p>A general dentist or self \u2013 referral to an endodontist can be received for the following procedures:<\/p>\n<p>Primary root canal treatment of teeth with anatomical complexities such as:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul class=\"uk-list uk-list-bullet\">\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Combination of curved, narrow, long root canals;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Multiple curves in root canals<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Calcified pulp chamber or root canals; canal space not visible on diagnostic quality radiographs;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Adults with incomplete root development;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Re-root treatment<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Anatomical anomalies (e.g. invaginations; palato-gingival grooves).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Surgical endodontic treatment of restoratively sound teeth when orthograde endodontic treatment is not viable.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Acute traumatic dento-alveolar injuries in adults or consequences thereof.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Vital pulp therapy (traumatic pulp exposures; stabilised deep caries with adequate tooth structure, possible exposure and absence of periapical disease).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Root resorption: affecting single restoratively viable tooth or affecting multiple teeth.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Endodontic diagnosis or opinion<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Facilitation or management of complex retreatment<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Post removal and instrument retrieval<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Canal location or negotiation.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">Endodontic treatment of second or third molar teeth<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"uk-margin\">\n<p>More Difficult cases that may need a more complex treatment plan, such as:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul class=\"uk-list uk-list-divider\" id=\"page#9\">\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">1. Patients who have untreated primary dental disease.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">2. Teeth of questionable restorative prognosis\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">3. Treatment requiring conscious sedation<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"el-item\">\n<div class=\"el-content uk-panel\">4.
